Description
Having a suction cup handy during a DIY screen repair can be very beneficial. In many cases using a suction cup to remove the outer glass touch screen digitizer from the inner housing makes it very safe and convenient. Although most of the time you can use other repair tools such as plastic safe open pry tools or even an ESD Nylon Spudger, a suction cup can be preferable as the solution you'll need to remove and replace your glass touch screen or touch screen assembly.
Using a suction cup is most common in screen repairs for the iPhone, iPod, and iPad, but can be used on other devices and tablets alike.
